Should be publicly and repeatedly denouncing the false assertions of people who have expertise in neither biblical studies or theology.
The only way to counter a lie is to call it a lie and explain why it’s a lie.
Otherwise, thanks to the silence of the experts, the common herd come to the conclusion that the lie is the truth elsewise the experts would call it a lie.
Every moment of silent acceptance emboldens liars. Stop letting it happen.
