They hiked for more than 10 hours over rugged mountains — unarmed and without security — to bring medical care to isolated Afghan villagers until their humanitarian mission took a tragic turn. Ten members of the Christian medical team — six Americans, two Afghans, one German and a Briton — were gunned down in a gruesome slaughter that the Taliban said they carried out because the volunteers were spying and trying to convert Muslims to Christianity. The gunmen spared an Afghan driver, who recited verses from the Islamic holy book Quran as he begged for his life.
These Taliban thugs murdered people who were trying to help the Afghans. Ok, let’s see how loudly the outcry is against this senseless and brutal act among Muslims. I’m going to hold my breath until leading clerics across the Muslim world denounce these murders… and these murderers.

What an appalling story. These unarmed humanitarians were trying to help the kinfolk of their future murders. You are right that this was a “senseless and brutal act” that was religiously provoked. How can you, Jim, be so senseless, though, by throwing all Muslims into the same pot? The title alone of your post screams prejudice: “You Taliban People are Creepy Murderous Jerks.” As an analogy, if I were to hold my breath every time I waited for leading Christian clerics to denounce an atrocity against humanity I would have died before I was born… you too.

you havent been reading here long enough to know that i havent a prejudiced bone in my body against good muslims. just yesterday i made mention of the fact that the ground zero mosque was no bad thing. so i’ll forgive your presumption. this time.

Can anyone link to a story in which the Taliban are shown to be good and kind (outside of their own belief system)? Please, take all the time you want to. Jim did not blame all Muslims, in fact he specifically stated who were creepy murderous jerks. They are.
