Quote of the Day

When the beneficiaries [of taxpayer’s monies] are the poor (broadly conceived) the [wealthy] call it food stamps, handouts, fostering dependence, and welfare. When the beneficiaries have power, the same net effect gets called market support, incentives, tax credits, and enabling job creation. – Ryan Pavlik

  1. I just call it “un-warranted entitlement by confiscatory means nicknamed charity and/or liberalism when it is neither” when it is directed to the poor and “government interference when it is directed to the rich”.
However, when it is done to the rich, it is not what I or anyone says it is; it is what it becomes because the rich usually invests it back in the economy. Has anyone EVER worked for a poor person?
