Oh Neat! Blogging by Opinion Poll!

What don’t you want to read on blogs?

That’s right- the time has come for blog readers to determine what blog writers write in the same way that politicians decide policy by the amount of money lobbyists have given them or by opinion polls. This will assure readers of finding exactly what they want and opinions with which they can only agree. The upside of all this will be that blogs will become even more popular (!) because it’s more important to be popular and speak the words the crowd wishes to hear than it is to be yourself and write what and as you please.

And it’s even biblical, this ‘blogging by opinion poll’! That’s right, the author of 2 Timothy says without even shuddering

ἔσται γὰρ καιρὸς ὅτε τῆς ὑγιαινούσης διδασκαλίας οὐκ ἀνέξονται ἀλλὰ κατὰ τὰς ἰδίας ἐπιθυμίας ἑαυτοῖς ἐπισωρεύσουσιν διδασκάλους κνηθόμενοι τὴν ἀκοὴν! (2 Tim 4:3).

So there it is! Hop on the bandwagon and give ’em what they want to hear! It’s what all the cool Emergent kids are doing in pulpits and books and videos.  Why not on blogs too?!

So, in the spirit of pure democracy, here’s a fitting poll!
