I received this scam spam a bit ago and thought I’d share it just in case some of you are prone to respond to these people by actually sending them money. Don’t.

I’m SO excited… So, does anyone know what 25% of $12 million is after taxes?
File this one in the bizarro spam category. This email came in overnight-
The quality of zwingliusredivivus.wordpress.com impressed us and we wanted to know if you’d be interested in a guest post from us that could add a unique and different perspective to your site.
Articles would be 600-800 words long on a topic of your choosing that would relate and complement zwingliusredivivus.wordpress.com. If you’re interested, you could select a topic or I’d be more than happy to suggest some.
The sender? Couponing.com. Unfortunately the spam must think I’m part of a group blog. As if… Anywho, no, no, I’m not at all interested.
It’s so moving to get mail like this…

Wow. Masha. Do you mind if I call you Mashed Potato? Because I’m more likely to enjoy a plate of that than I am a relationship with a total spammy stranger…
This spam comment showed up today and I just have to share it.
It was extremely interesting for me to read the post. Thanks for it. I like such topics and anything that is connected to them. I definitely want to read a bit more on that site soon. BTW, pretty nice design that blog has, but don’t you think it should be changed once in a few months?

The post to which the spam comment is directed is the Babel Flashcards post. I suppose the word ‘flash’ triggered smut vendors in Russia or something. But the part that was really funny was the comment about changing the blog design should be changed once in a few months… HA! I’m still chuckling, Kate the London Skank Spam. (I wonder if she knows Chris Tilling?)
For the last week or so I’ve been getting a boatload of spam email in Arabic from various Yahoo and Yemeni addresses. The subject line- عيد سعيد – بنك سبأ الاسلامي
Which translates to Happy Holiday- Saba Islamic Bank.
Bad news, spammers, I’m not Muslim so Ramadan is a meaningless holiday to me. I don’t observe it and I don’t celebrate it any more than Muslims celebrate Christmas or Easter.
So, kind as your happy and immensely annoying emails are, cease and desist. My mailbox can’t take it any more.
