A couple from Texas who moved to a violence-plagued area of northern Mexico to run a Baptist church were found murdered on Tuesday in their ransacked home, relatives said. John and Wanda Casias, originally from Amarillo, Texas, moved to an area outside of Monterrey, Mexico, in the late 1970s or early 1980s to make it their home. Valerie Alirez, the eldest child of John Casias, said one of her brothers found her father and stepmother dead on Tuesday in their home in Santiago, Nuevo Leon.
Mexico: If you want to die, it’s the place for you.
Prosecutors in Mexico say the decapitated body of a woman found in the northern city of Nuevo Laredo on Saturday is that of a newspaper editor. The body of Maria Elizabeth Macias, the editor of Primera Hora newspaper, was found next to a threatening message. The police said the message had been left by a criminal gang. Two weeks ago, the bodies of a man and a woman were hung from a bridge with a message warning people not to report drug violence on social networks.
What insane barbarism. Mexico: avoid it or put your very life in danger. But because American drug abusers are the ultimate cause of all this murder, every person caught with illegal drugs should be deported to Mexico. This would ensure that drugs stop flowing into America as those Americans who use them could buy them directly from the source.
And the police are standing on the sidelines.
Stay out of Mexico. It’s more dangerous that any other third world country. Stay out.
Steve Caruso has shown, dramatically, that one of the so called ‘lead codices’ simply lifted letters from actually authentic ancient materials.
Now, will the lead codices people please just sell their items to the gullible watchers of the Naked Archaeologist or readers of BAR (festooned, as it is, with ads for artifacts real and fake).
Come on, one of you, buy the things so we can stop hearing about them forever.
It’s been an extra-bloody 24 hours in Mexico this weekend, with more than 40 people killed in three cities in Zeta drug-cartel-related violence on Friday night and yesterday, reports the AP. At least 20 were killed in a bar in Monterrey late Friday when at least two gunmen launched an attack with AK-47s and AR-15s. Eleven more were killed just outside of Mexico City, which has largely been spared in the bloodbath that has dominated the nation, shot with high-powered rifles then piled close to a well. Ten more bodies were discovered around the northern city of Torreon.
Barbarians. And all for a few pieces of paper (called money). Barbarianism.
Let’s move them out of Iraq and Afghanistan and Korea and Germany and Japan and every other place we’ve spread them and invade Mexico. If any people need armed intervention it’s them. The despicable and inhuman behavior of those drug pushing miscreants who have made Mexico the third world of the third world deserves the sort of retaliation that hasn’t been seen since the US dropped the A-bomb on Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
Let’s use our troops for something good for a change and instead of helping the oil industry, let’s help Mexicans. Let’s find the drug cartel’s leaders and bomb them into extinction. They deserve it. They richly deserve it.
A journalist, his wife, and their 21-year-old son were shot to death inside their home in this Gulf coast city Monday, authorities said. Journalist Miguel Angel Lopez Velasco and his family were shot with a 9 mm handgun, said Veracruz state prosecutor Jorge Yunis. Lopez Velasco, 55, wrote a column about politics and crime and was editorial director for the daily newspaper Notiver. His son, Misael Lopez, had been working as a photographer for the same newspaper. Yunis said investigators haven’t determined a motive in the killings and no one has been arrested. Earlier this month, state police in Veracruz found the body of reporter Noel Lopez in a clandestine grave. He had been missing since March. The two reporters are not related.
How dare he?! How dare a US Congressman suggest that Iraq repay the massive sum we’ve sunk into their cesspool? After all, Bush/Cheney and the other deceptive ‘we must go to war to rescue the world from terrorism’ administration officials said Iraq would end up paying the cost of invasion with its massive oil reserves. So why shouldn’t it?
Iraqi authorities asked a United States congressman to leave the country after he called for Baghdad to repay part of the money spent by Washington since the 2003 invasion, a spokesman said on Saturday. Republican representative Dana Rohrabacher’s remarks at a news conference in Baghdad stood in stark contrast to those by senior American officials, who have pressed Iraqi officials to decide soon whether they want US troops to stay beyond a year-end withdrawal deadline. “We called the US embassy yesterday and we told them to ask the congressmen to leave Iraq,” government spokesman Ali al-Dabbagh told AFP. “We don’t want them here. What they said was inappropriate.” Mr. Dabbagh said that Mr. Rohrabacher and his congressional delegation had not raised the issue in a meeting with Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki, contradicting the US politician’s comments that he had spoken about potential repayments with the Iraqi leader.
Iraq is the spoiled brat of nations. It’s been feeding off the teat of the American taxpayer so long now even mention of paying its own way sends it into a temper tantrum. Americans, when oh when will you realize that nations around the world don’t love you, they just love your money. From Iraq to Afghanistan to Israel to Mexico to Honduras to the rest – they only tolerate you because you give them stuff. Cut off the stuff, and you’ll see what they really think of you.
Ron Paul may be a nut but he’s right about one thing, American foreign aid needs to end. If the other nations of the world can’t manage on their own it’s their problem. As long as they have our milk to suck out, they’ll never learn to take care of themselves.
It took a while, but it seems that Mexicans have finally gotten fed up with the drug violence that has destroyed their country.
Thousands of Mexicans have marched into Mexico City, the capital, to protest against the wave of killings that has claimed 38,000 lives since Felipe Calderon, the president, launched his war on drug gangs in late 2006. Local media said the march was about 20,000 strong as it closed in on the city’s huge Zocolo central square. Demonstrators, many wearing white and walking in silence, held up placards that read “Not a single more death,” “Enough already” and “No more bloodshed”. “We’ve come from San Juan Copala [in Oaxaca state], seeking peace, because we’re also suffering violence and injustice,” said Mariana, a 21-year-old from the Triqui tribe, wearing indigenous clothing. The march started on Thursday about 72km from the capital in the tourist city of Cuernavaca, which has been rocked by drug-related violence. Javier Sicilia, the Mexican poet and journalist, called the protest after his son and six others were found killed and tortured in March near the resort city of Cuernavaca, about 90km from Mexico City.
Why didn’t he call for protests before his son was killed? Didn’t he care till then?
Absolutely barbarous. Even if you’re in New Zealand or are a Mennonite, this sort of behavior has to impale one’s sensibilities.
On a sunny afternoon last week, when the streets of this mountain mining city were filled with schoolchildren and parents hurrying home from work, gunmen entered a tiny apartment and started firing methodically. The assassins killed everyone: the family matriarch and her adult son; her daughter and son-in-law, and finally, her 22-month-old granddaughter. The child was not killed by mistake. Preliminary forensics indicate that the gunmen, unchallenged, pointed a pistol at Scarlett Ramirez and fired. In Mexico’s brutal drug war, children are increasingly victims, innocents caught in the crossfire, shot dead alongside their parents — and intentionally targeted.
And every drug abuser who buys what Mexico supplies is paying for the bullets that are killing children (and everyone else). Buy a joint, kill a child. It’s that simple.
Mexico is experiencing the worst violence since the Conquistadors and the solution to the problem is the banning of a video game? They’re worried about a video game??? Seriously?
A shoot-em-up video game set in the border town of Ciudad Juarez has angered local officials who are busy fighting all-too-real violence. Chihuahua state legislators said Sunday they have asked federal authorities to ban a the game, “Call of Juarez: The Cartel,” which is based on drug cartel shootouts in Ciudad Juarez. About 6,000 people died in drug-related violence in Ciudad Juarez in 2009 and 2010, making the city, located across from El Paso, Texas, one of the deadliest in the world.
Hey how about banning real guns? Who the devil is in charge of Mexico, Cheech and Chong?
It’s the police too – who besides being corrupt, are also violent and sometimes even rapists.
A Canadian woman alleges that Mexican police gang-raped her in jail after she and her fiancé were arrested while on vacation in Mexico for New Year’s Eve, CBC News has learned. Rebecca Rutland, 41, says police in the Mexican resort town of Playa del Carmen took the Ontario couple into custody in the late hours of Dec. 31 following a confrontation between officers and her fiancé. Once in jail, Rutland, a social worker doing her thesis in Thunder Bay, Ont., says two police officers took turns raping her. Rutland and her fiancé, Richard Coleman, 51, of Toronto, also allege officers robbed them of hundreds of dollars and other valuables.
Avoid Mexico! How many times must this be said? It is a land of death and destruction because drugs rule there and the love of money holds sway over nearly all. And, once more, every time you smoke your ‘harmless’ joint, you’re fueling the violence there. Congrats… you’ve done your part to contribute to the pool of wickedness known as humanity’s total depravity.

Joseph Proctor told his girlfriend he was popping out to the convenience store in the quiet Mexican beach town where the couple had just moved, intending to start a new life. … The next morning, the 32-year-old New York native was dead inside his crashed van on a road outside Acapulco. He had multiple bullet wounds. An AR-15 rifle lay in his hands. … It took weeks of pressuring U.S. diplomats and congressmen for help, but she finally got an answer, which she shared with The Associated Press. Three soldiers have been charged with killing her son. Two have been charged with planting the assault rifle in his hands and claiming falsely that he fired first, according to a Mexican Defense Department document sent to her through the U.S. Embassy in Mexico City.
Mexico… ‘Corruption and Murder‘ should be their national motto. It isn’t just the drug dealers down there who are ruining the country- it’s the army too.
A 21-year-old university student lies dead from a gunshot to the head. Nearby, paramedics wrap the head of another woman in a blood-soaked shirt while her husband holds their cowering children. They were shopping in a popular downtown promenade when gunmen chasing a security guard opened fire into the crowd. This wasn’t supposed to happen in Monterrey, Mexico’s modern northern city with gleaming glass towers that rise against the Sierra Madre, where students flock to world-class universities, including the country’s equivalent of MIT. But drug violence has painted Monterrey with the look and feel of the gritty border 100 miles (160 kilometers) to the north as two former allies, the Gulf and Zetas gangs, fight for control of Mexico’s third-largest — and wealthiest — city.
Ancient Jews used to give thanks to God that they weren’t born Gentiles. I thank God that I don’t live in the killing field called Mexico. That place is simply out of control uninhabitable. No one anywhere in it is safe from the insanity of gang violence and the good people of the country are paying the highest price. Such barbarism and inhumanity is unworthy of our neighbors to the south (or any civilized land). And yet, there total depravity has free reign.
Yahoo News reports
At least 20 people were killed this weekend in the Mexican border city of Ciudad Juarez, The Los Angeles Times reported. Seven victims were gunned down while attending a family party on Saturday night. Five were found dead inside a car and two were shot to death at the entrance of the home. Drug-gang violence killed 11 other people in Ciudad Juarez that day, including two whose bodies were found dismembered, The Associated Press reported. Yesterday, two police officers were found shot to death inside a patrol car.
Avoid Mexico. I’ll say it again, avoid Mexico like you would avoid Somalia. Drugs (thanks to America’s drug culture) have made the land totally unsafe. And that’s sad- because the majority of Mexicans (just like the majority of Somalians) are decent and wonderful people. Behold, what drug and money lust has wrought… Every time you smoke a joint, you buy a bullet. And you’re just as guilty of murder as the killers themselves, because without you, they wouldn’t exist.
For your own safety, stay away from there.
Four U.S. citizens were shot to death in separate attacks in the border city of Ciudad Juarez, Mexican authorities said Monday. Chihuahua state prosecutors’ spokesman Arturo Sandoval said Edgar Lopez, 35, of El Paso, Texas, was killed Sunday along with two Mexican men when gunmen opened fire on a group standing outside a house. On Saturday, a 26-year-old U.S. woman and an American boy were slain shortly after crossing an international bridge from El Paso. Giovanna Herrera and Luis Araiza, 15, were shot to death along with a Mexican man traveling with them just after 11 a.m., Sandoval said. Sandoval said authorities also identified a 24-year-old woman killed Friday inside a tortilla shop as Lorena Izaguirre, a U.S. citizen and El Paso resident. A Mexican man was also found dead in the store.
It is not safe and the government is utterly incapable of doing anything to change the situation. Mexico- make it a non-destination and let your children keep their parents.
Mexico- The Somalia of the Americas
If you love your family, and your life, avoid Mexico. The place is a killing field. You can’t visit a carwash (as we learned yesterday) or a neighborhood without running the risk of being cut down by gang-banger bullets.
Gunmen killed six young men in a gritty neighborhood of the Mexican capital Thursday, an official said. The men in their late teens and early 20s were hanging out together on a street when the gunmen arrived, Mexico City Attorney General Miguel Angel Mancera said in an interview with the Televisa network. He said angry words were exchanged, and the gunmen opened fire. It was the fourth major shooting in Mexico in less than a week. All have occurred in different parts of the country and appear unrelated.
Mexico – the Somalia of North America.
It’s a good time to avoid Mexico altogether. There we see what happens when the love of money is let free to fly unhindered.
Gunmen killed 15 people at a car wash Wednesday in a Mexican Pacific coast state where drug-gang violence has risen this year. It was the third massacre in Mexico in less than a week. The gunmen in three vehicles drove up to the car wash in the city of Tepic and opened fire without provocation, said Fernando Carvajal, public safety secretary of Nayarit state, where the city is located. Fifteen men were killed and three people were injured. The motive was not immediately clear but investigators suspect it was the work of organized crime, Carvajal told reporters.
Mexico… where drugs and money mix to produce the deadliest consequences. Mexico… where the government is completely powerless. Mexico… the spot on earth where crime reigns unhindered. Mexico… if you visit it may well be your final destination.
Every time an American smokes a joint made from pot imported from Mexico or shoots some coke or snorts it or uses Mexican meth, he or she is perpetuating a series of violent acts that have seen the deaths of literally tens of thousands of people.
The decapitated bodies of four men were hung from a bridge Sunday in this central Mexican city besieged by fighting between two drug lords. A gang led by kingpin Hector Beltran Leyva took responsibility for the killings in a message left with the bodies, the attorney general’s office of Mexico state said in a statement. The beheaded and mutilated bodies were hung by their feet early Sunday from the bridge in Cuernavaca, a popular weekend getaway for Mexico City residents.
Who’s killing Mexicans? American drug users. It is, in large part, their moral responsibility. The next time one of your buddies says pot doesn’t hurt anyone, call them a liar and show them one of the dozens of news reports relating the drug wars currently destroying our neighbors to the south.
