On the local news, the story of a pill pushing pedophile who supplied a ‘mother’ with pills and then began to supply a 12 year old girl too. Then, according to the report, he cut the kid’s supply off and forced her to perform sex acts to get the drugs he had gotten her addicted to. That’s where we pick up the tale-
… the victim’s mother had suspicions something inappropriate was happening, but she never told authorities. Smith [the detective investigating the crime] says her addiction to pills overshadowed her concerns. “When that becomes your priority, everything else is on the back burner, and her daughter suffered because of that. And her daughter will have to live with this for the rest of her life.”
This story is doubtless, sadly, repeated time after time after time in the oxy crazed homes of wretched parents who only care about getting high and are happy enough to sell their children to pushers for the privilege.
There’s a special plot in hell for pedophiles and pill pushers and chained right next to them are the selfish ‘parents’ who treat their own kids as nothing more than payment for pills. And that plot is square in the mouth of Satan himself, where the perverse are forever chewed, swallowed, excreted, and rechewed. A quite fitting fate indeed, as they become in death what they were, in truth, in life.

The parents of a five–year–old girl who was raped by a teenage babysitter have attacked a judge who let the boy walk free after claiming online pornography and society was to blame.
We’re witnessing the death of personal responsibility. No one’s responsible for their actions anymore- it’s either genetics or society but never your decision…. which is just pure ignorant stupidity.
The 14 year–old, who was a family friend and neighbour, had been asked to look after the girl. He tied an apron round her face and performed a sex act on her. The girl later told her father that the teenager led her to believe he was going to feed her a chocolate. The victim’s mother, who said her daugher “knows what happened was something horrible”, has now criticised the judge for “making a cheap point about pornography” in sentencing. She believes the sentence “just isn’t enough”, adding it sent the “wrong message to people – that you can do something like that a get such a light punishment”. “The judge was more concerned with justifying the sentence by making a cheap point about pornography. It was really cheap to use that as an excuse for what the boy did,” she said.
Porn didn’t molest the girl and neither did society. The wicked teenage pervert did. And he should be held responsible for it. And the judge should be sacked.

Some Greek pharmacies will close on Friday, but not in protest against the relentless burden of austerity or the withering of state reimbursements for the drugs they sell. Rather, they are mourning for one of their own, a pharmacist who was shot dead in an apparent holdup.
Violent crime is more ingrained in many other societies, but the slaying of 54-year-old Spyros Poukamisas this week is the kind of sad event that cuts deeply into the Greek sense of community at a time of crisis and division. It is a symbol of the national handwringing about how far a country, steeped in glorious tradition, can fall.
And further on-
A statement by the Greater Athens pharmacists’ association said the killing reflected an “unprecedented” situation in Greece and “proves that our society is in a state of collapse and has been surrendered to the mercy of uncontrolled criminal activity.”
While aspects of such rhetoric appear overblown, statistics show a deterioration in law-and-order during the economic crisis. The Public Order Ministry reported an increase in nearly all categories of crime between 2010 and 2011, with murder up 5 percent and armed robberies in occupied homes up 110 percent.
Desperate people do desperate things. The more desperation, the more crime.
A woman currently being held in a mental institution for allegedly stabbing a senior citizen with a butcher knife at a bus stop has been charged with the 2006 ax murders of two members of her church. Pamela Myles, 43, was charged with two counts of first-degree murder Tuesday after she submitted a written confession on June 20, the Chicago Sun-Times reports. Myles was a suspect when the deaths were originally investigated in 2006 after witnesses reported seeing her walking around her South Side neighborhood with an ax or large hammer.
Of course she’s insane- no sane person does such a reprehensible thing. But that doesn’t mean she isn’t evil. Evil is, after all, at its very core- insane. And there’s more-
Annie Mae Davis, 59, and Everleana Brame, 74, were both found murdered in April 2006. They died from blunt trauma and multiple wounds to the head inflicted by an ax, court records indicate. The women were murdered three weeks apart and were both members of New Triedstone Church, where Myles often attended services and had a falling out with the pastor and several members, according to the Sun-Times.
The Pastor should be very concerned if Pamela is ever freed.
A 1-year-old girl is reportedly having surgery at Children’s Memorial Hospital Tuesday after being shot in the head on Chicago’s South Side. The Chicago Tribune reports that the child and her 15-year-old aunt were walking a dog near 84th Street and Muskegon Avenue about 8:10 a.m. when young men nearby opened fire.
Because America thinks everyone has the right to carry a gun. Everyone.
A man was bicycling in the area near the woman and her child when two male teens between 16 and 19 years of age began shooting at the bicyclist, who managed to get away, police said. The baby’s aunt got on the ground and tried shielding the child, but once the gunfire stopped she discovered the baby “had visible trauma” to her head, according to the Chicago Sun-Times. Residents of the South Chicago neighborhood told reporters that gunfire was common in the area, which has a gang problem.
And we still aren’t sick and tired of it as a society. Maybe one day we’ll see the utter stupidity of making guns available to one and all. But I doubt it. American culture doesn’t inspire much hope.
Raphael Golb’s unending quest for absolution in the wake of his proven acts of deception and misrepresentation enters its next stage with his appeal. Bob Cargill has all the unsurprisingly neurotic and self-obsessed Golbian details.

The news hasn’t reported anything but there was testimony and the trial is in fact continuing. Some of the most important testimony will take place tomorrow and the case will wrap up shortly thereafter.
When the decision comes down I’ll post it. I’m more than confident that the jury will find R. Golb guilty on all counts and a clear message will be sent to all those who assume the identities of others, cower behind anonymity, and wage battle from the cover of darkness, assasinating the characters of others because they wrongly believe they won’t, or can’t, be found out. Yes they can be, and yes they will be.
DSS on Exhibit
News outlets seem to be following the proceedings- as was to be expected:
A New York attorney went on trial Tuesday on criminal charges that accuse him of adopting electronic aliases to discredit one of his professor-father’s academic rivals. The debate is over the origins of the Dead Sea Scrolls. Prosecutors say Raphael Golb turned commentary into crime with e-mails and blog posts that accused his father’s adversary of plagiarism. The rival academic denies it. Golb does not acknowledge crafting the messages. His lawyers say the online musings — whoever wrote them — are satire, not a crime.
Of course he doesn’t acknowledge wrongdoing- otherwise he wouldn’t be on trial. And I seriously doubt that Larry Schiffman or Robert Cargill think what Golb did was satire. Indeed, no one could imagine such a thing unless they were a defense attorney from New York.
UPDATE: For those of you new to the story, this report has more information than the AP report now being very widely circulated and simply repeated.
UPDATE II: The best headline so far belongs to the NY Post- which advises ‘DSS cyber bully claims he had right to fight dirty‘. So is he admitting he did it? If he said he had a right to fight dirty it means he fought. Per usual, the defense is trying to make the victims the victims again- of the trial.
“Dr. Schiffman and Dr. Cargill [another alleged victims] are plagiarists. There’s definite evidence of that. NYU did not do a full and thorough investigation. The District Attorney’s Office did not do a full and thorough investigation.”
Of course that’s idiotic nonsense. Cargill and Schiffman neither one have adopted Golb’s idiosyncratic ideas, so what exactly did they plagiarize? And if Raphie had nothing to do with it, why take that line? The defense has revealed the weakness of its case on the first day. It will be all downhill from here.
