  4. Hi Jim – a few months ago I saw that you were giving a free book out called the Living Word by Gustaf Wingren.

I signed up for the book but never received it.

on your end do you have any account of the matter ?

    Thank You

Social media has freed me! Freed me to use my own vocabulary (which came from Shakespeare and Mrs. Garrard [my Senior English teacher] back in the 1960’s). Since you can now click on any word I use and go to a definition, I am no longer constrained to use a sixth grade newspaper vocabulary. It was the blog of Dr. Jim West (https://zwingliusredivivus.wordpress.com/author/drjewest/) that made me aware of my new freedom. He frequently quotes verbatim from source materials in Latin, German, French, Greek, et al., with no apology and no comment. He expects the reader to figure it out, if he or she does not already know the language! How refreshing a concept! The southern preacher mentality is that I must use words they know, cut the meat into bite-sized portions, add some seasoning, some humor, and simple illustrations still constrains my live sermons (even in a college town), but today, I realized I am free! You, the reader, will now become an active learner and interrogator in the conversation process! Hallelujah!
