A Christmas Gift From Me To You

It’s a simple contest really-  and the winner gets a copy of our book.  A book which has been reviewed by Don McKim very positively indeed.

How do you win?

You tell me in comments below why you deserve the book and why you love Zwingli more than you love your own spouse and children.  Most creative and witty response wins.  Amen.  Contest ends December 10.

UPDATE:  And the Winner Is………..

Nick Norelli & Steve Tyra!!!  That’s right, both of you win.  Drop me an email with your mailing addresses.

    Oh, where does one begin?

    Zwingli, I love him more than words can wield the matter;
    Dearer than eye-sight, space, and liberty;
    Beyond what can be valued, rich or rare;
    No less than life, with grace, health, beauty, honour;
    As much as student e’er loved, or theologian found;
    A love that makes breath poor, and speech unable;
    Beyond all manner of so much I love him.

    Indeed. May I have my third of the kingdom– er, I mean, my lovely V&R gift now?

    I love Zwingli so much that I’m living on a student stipend while earning a doctorate in Reformation Studies. Turning the pages of scholarly monographs is the only thing that keeps my hands warm and distracts me from the hunger. Please send help.

    First things first, I don’t love Zwingli more than my wife and kid. I couldn’t, really! Have you met my wife and kid? No! Well, you should come by sometime.
    Having said that, I would very like to get the book cause Zwingli brought things down basics. I come from a Baptist tradition, so for me the whole memorial thingy with the Supper is quite straight forward. Kudos for that, dear Zwingli.
    Having said that too, I would like the book cause I like Amyraut MORE! (Mic drop)

    Ps. The invite is open for Zwingli and Amyraut as well. So when you drop by, do bring them along as well. I hear they sit well together in there. If you know what I mean… Wink wink…

    I’d drown an entire flock of Anabaptists for this volume. My wife and kids are Anabaptists. Therefore…

      I was going with King Lear … but this is turning dark, darker than Cordelia’s death. Perhaps some good Froschauer sausages are in order to cheer body and soul!
