Declaring our Independence

When the government engages in a long series of abuses & usurpations & demonstrates a design to reduce the people to serve under despotism, it is the right of the people – no, it is their duty – to throw off that government.

A Warning To Those Who Would Kill: You Will Hang on The Gallows You Make

We have been sold, my people and I, to be destroyed, to be killed, and to be annihilated. Had we been sold as male and female slaves, I would have held my tongue, although the enemy could never compensate for the king’s loss.

So King Ahasuerus answered and said to Queen Esther, “Who is he, and where is he, who would dare presume in his heart to do such a thing?”   And Esther said, “The adversary and enemy is this wicked Haman!” So Haman was terrified before the king and queen.  Then the king arose in his wrath from the banquet of wine and went into the palace garden; but Haman stood before Queen Esther, pleading for his life, for he saw that evil was determined against him by the king. When the king returned from the palace garden to the place of the banquet of wine, Haman had fallen across the couch where Esther was. Then the king said, “Will he also assault the queen while I am in the house?” As the word left the king’s mouth, they covered Haman’s face.

Now Harbonah, one of the eunuchs, said to the king, “Look! The gallows, fifty cubits high, which Haman made for Mordecai, who spoke good on the king’s behalf, is standing at the house of Haman.” Then the king said, “Hang him on it!” So they hanged Haman on the gallows that he had prepared for Mordecai. Then the king’s wrath subsided.  — (Est. 7:4-10)

Remember This- Loads of Germans Resisted Hitler and His Nazi Scum

Here’s just one of thousands of stories:

You can read many, MANY more here.  And you should.  Especially if you’re the historically ignorant sort that constantly drones on in generalities about how ‘The Germans’ just went along with Hitler and how Luther and Lutherans were to blame.

If Only We Lived in a World Where This Were Really Our Practice

Alas.  We don’t.

Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself.  Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others.  — (Phil. 2:3-4)

The Pittsburgh Terrorist Actually Believes He’s a Christian!

How deluded can you be?  Here we have a perfect example of the fact that Satan can quote Scripture out of context too…

Signs of the Times

And that’s why the Pittsburgh terrorist and the pipe bomb terrorist (I refuse to name them) are ‘deranged’ or ‘mentally ill’ and not what they are- terrorists.  Evil, sickening, terrorists.

Lecture Announcement

Quote of the Day

The Second Amendment is a framework for lawmaking, not a suicide pact. – Shannon Watts

Few Things…

Few things are more cowardly than cowering behind false accusations rather than actually responding to substantive issues.  To those of you who immediately turn to accusations instead of answering actual questions- sod off.

Maybe Before you Talk About Luther You Should Know Something About Luther

Wil Gafney is the person to whose tweet I responded.  And what I said to her I say to all-

Luther was wrong when he said what he said in later life about the Jews.  Dead wrong, and everyone around him knew it.  But the early Luther was a different man.  So let’s not pretend that Luther always said the same thing.  Let’s, in other words, be fair.

The Big Ten

  1. “You shall have no other gods before Me.
  2. “You shall not make for yourself a carved image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; you shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me, but showing mercy to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments.
  3. “You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain, for the LORD will not hold him guiltless who takes His name in vain.
  4. “Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the LORD your God. In it you shall do no work: you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates. For in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it.
  5. “Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long upon the land which the LORD your God is giving you.
  6. “You shall not murder.
  7. “You shall not commit adultery.
  8. “You shall not steal.
  9. “You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.
  10. “You shall not covet your neighbor’s house; you shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbor’s.” (Exod. 20:3-17)
