  1. Although I am jealous of the number of books he has I noticed that he has very poor shelving. Looks like all (almost all?) the shelves are fixed at the same height, the height of a typical paperback novel but shorter than the height most academic books. Result – many books being stored on their fore edge which is a great way to ruin the spine
