A New Course At Ming Hua

Why study Biblical Languages?

This semester, the College is offering a new subject, Introduction to Biblical Languages. Students will spend 6 weeks looking at Hebrew and 6 weeks studying ancient Greek to gain an understanding of rudimentary features of Biblical Hebrew and New Testament Greek. They will be able to recognise elementary vocabulary in Biblical Hebrew and Greek, and have awareness of interpretive implications arising from cultural dimensions of biblical texts as ancient documents.

Principal Dr Gareth Jones will give an introduction to this subject. Come and join us to explore the richness of biblical languages

Date: January 18, 19
Time: 7pm to 9pm

Why do they only “look at” Hebrew, but they actually “study” the Greek????

both parts are introductory overviews. looking at hebrew is on target since hebrew is a lot more complex than greek.
