Why Did America Elect a Man Who Won’t Pay His Bills?

Why?

In late October, just weeks ahead of the election, President-elect Donald Trump made a quick detour to Washington for the official opening of his new five-star hotel, just a few blocks from the White House.

During a ribbon-cutting ceremony, Trump told the crowd that the two-year, roughly $200 million renovation project at the historic Old Post Office Building was done ahead of schedule and under budget, thanks to what he called an incredible team of people — “including hundreds of construction workers, electricians, maintenance workers and so many others who helped make this project a reality. They’re really the important ones.”

Now some of those companies would like final payment for their work. Documents obtained by NPR show three Washington-area companies have filed liens against Trump International Hotel totaling more than $5 million.

Why?  Any Trumpians care to answer?  Why did you vote for someone so dishonest and disreputable?

  1. I am not a Trumpian but I think this is an easy answer: In the 80’s and 90’s, especially in the Bill Clinton administration, the Democrats preached that “character doesn’t matter” and that his affairs in the White House would not affect his performance as president. But this is only one part of the desensitization of America concerning what is right or wrong, the qualities of a statesman, etc. A Clinton defender went on TV all over America stating that “no one needs to be a goodie-two-shoes to be a president. Again, teaching the American people to ignore wrong. Anything contrary to ignoring wrong would be judgmental and right-wingy. The most important part is that whereas deadbeat Trump won’t pay his bills, his opponent, the only other choice, (obviously I speak of the period after the primaries) was paying her bills with the money she made by selling influence whereas Secretary of State. True or not, the American people, except California, New York and rich districts in Colorado, thought that the latter was worst than the former.
I guess a non-Trumpian can see why. NOW, IMPORTANT: If all these had shown up BEFORE the primaries were over, who knows? BUT THE CLINTON people was so certain of her victory and trying to derail Sanders by spurious means that they found not to be important to bring these things about Trump to surface when there was time to make him worse than her.
    NOW, THE REST IS HISTORY!
