  1. Looks nice. The actors seem to be doing things well. I think I recognized one or two locations in Antwerp. Inquisitor Frans van der Hulst is a historical person, also from Antwerp; the printer seems inspired by the Antwerp Plantin press, which clandestinely printed Protestant texts. The printing house can still be visited (http://www.museumplantinmoretus.be/en/content/about-museum).

    It must be noted that the Inquisition of the Low Countries was, in Luther’s age, never very violent. During the reign of Charles V, only two people were burned at the stake: two monks named Hendrik Voes and Jan van Esschen in 1523. That is of course three too many, but the main danger for reformers was not the Inquisition: the city’s authorities wanted order and could be far more aggressive. I’m not sure the movie will show that accurately, but I will certainly go and see this movie.
