Quote of the Week

Prov. 8:13

The fear of the LORD is hatred of evil.
Pride and arrogance and the way of evil
and perverted speech I hate.

Let him who reads, understand.  People may wink at perversity, but God hates it.  HATES it.

The Bee Stings The High Profile Evangelicals Trump has Purchased

In the wake of a damning video which surfaced Friday in which Donald Trump lewdly brags about pursuing sex with a married woman and engaging in forceful groping, among other things, sources confirmed that he met with various prominent Evangelical supporters, including Jerry Falwell, Jr. and James Dobson, and agreed to double their monthly bribe payments if they would continue to defend him and publicly support his campaign for president.

“You’re making it nearly impossible to keep up this facade, Donald—I mean, wow,” a distraught Falwell, Jr. is said to have remarked during the brief meeting while hanging his head in shame.

“How can we possibly defend this one? Do you have any idea what Christians around the world are saying about us?” Dobson reportedly said. “I can’t blame them, honestly.” “By the time this is over we will have absolutely no credibility—you better make this worth our while,” he added.

Before smoothing them out with the lucrative new terms, Trump reminded them that they “knew exactly what they were signing up for” when they originally endorsed and that they were “in too deep now anyways,” reportedly calling the video “no big deal” and assuring them it would “blow right over.”

“Now get out there and compare me to some people in the Bible who did bad things,” he said.  At publishing time, Trump was making preparations to triple their money after the next damning testimony surfaces sometime in the coming weeks.

It’s funny because it’s real to life.

The Bee Stings the Pseudo-Christianity of Donald Trump

Responding to numerous statements which don’t mention him by name but are widely believed to include him in their intended audience, Donald Trump, Republican presidential candidate and self-described Presbyterian, fired back at the Holy Bible Saturday after it reportedly accused him of not being a Christian.

“I’ve said many times that I greatly appreciate the Bible, it has served us well, but folks, we can do better,” Trump said in a video shared on his Facebook page, adding that the Scriptures are “millions of years old and weak, so weak,” attributes he implied are to blame for Christianity’s perceived decline in America and why ISIS is “chopping off Christian heads.”

“‘Has-Been Bible’ says I’m not a Christian, but that is a lie, folks. I am a tremendous Christian—the very best,” Trump assured the nation. “These numerous verses from the Bible—which, by the way, doesn’t even have the courage to address me by name—but these verses that try to paint me as somehow un-Christian, they’re ridiculous and false, and it’s pathetic, really. It’s sad!”

Pressed for comment, the Holy Bible released a one-sentence statement: “You will know them by their fruits.”

And that’s the truth.

Too Good Not To Share…

Because it rightly captures the excuse many are offering for their idolatrous worshipful fawning at the feet of a totally depraved debauched moral reprobate.

It Seems the Pope is Sad That Two Former Nuns Are Cohabiting… Yes, Like That…

I guess you have to ask him if he’s sad they’re married or if he’s just sad that they left the nunnery-hood….  These days it’s hard to tell what makes Franky sad.

And Now For Something Completely Different

Answering Your Letters

Dear Jim,

Why don’t you ever call out Hillary the way you do Donald?

A curious reader,

Daniel

Dear Daniel,

Whilst I find many of Hillary’s policies personally and Scripturally offensive, she simply is not the horrific person as person that Donald Trump is.  She doesn’t act like an absolute pagan the way Trump does and she doesn’t speak about women, or men, in the demeaning and ungodly way that Trump does.

I would never endorse Clinton (or Trump or any other politician) because theological endorsements of politicians is a denial of the theologian’s task; regardless of what Eric Metaxas or Jerry Falwell Jr think (and neither of them are even mediocre theologians or thinkers).

In sum, when Clinton becomes the wretched human being that Trump is, she will be excoriated in the same way by me that Trump is.

A curious writer,

Jim
