The NHS is giving women who have operations to become ‘men’ free IVF so they can have babies…
So if you want free IVF just become a dude. No word yet ehat the NHS is giving men who become ‘women’ but it isn’t IVF because no amount of wishful thinking can make a testicle into a womb.
They’ve recalled peanuts because the bags don’t say they contain … nuts…
Your debauchery will recoil on yourselves, and you will bear the weight of the sins committed with your foul idols and you will know that I am the Lord Yahweh. (Ezek. 23:49)
And rather than admit that he doesn’t know Bonhoeffer at all, he instead provides little fake Bonhoeffer ‘quotes’ for those who ask him about his misrepresentations.
Boundless ignorance. I’m glad he blocked me on twitter.
When we speak about freedom we generally make the mistake of asking what we are free from rather than what we are free for. — Emil Brunner
If a Catholic priest married a 6 year old the left would be calling for the destruction of the Catholic church. When a Muslim cleric does it, crickets. Anti-Christian bias is on full display.
As if he weren’t already contemptible enough…
“His wife, if you look at his wife, she was standing there. She had nothing to say. She probably, maybe she wasn’t allowed to have anything to say,” he said. “You tell me, but plenty of people have written that. She was extremely quiet and it looked like she had nothing to say.”
The response from Republicans was- to the credit of a few- swift-
Although only the latest instance in which Trump has attacked a convention speaker, the Republican nominee’s remarks drew strong rebukes Saturday — but only silence from several senior GOP leaders, including House Speaker Paul D. Ryan, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and the vice-presidential nominee, Indiana Gov. Mike Pence. “Trump’s slur against Captain Khan’s mother is, even for him, beyond the pale,” tweeted John Weaver, a Republican strategist for Ohio Gov. John Kasich. “He has NO redeeming qualities.”
Indeed he does not.
An elderly Afghan cleric has been arrested after he married a six-year-old girl, officials said on Friday, in the latest case highlighting the scourge of child marriages in the war-battered country. Mohammad Karim, said to be aged around 60, was held in central Ghor province as he claimed her parents gave him the girl as a “religious offering”, officials said. But they cited the family of the girl, believed to be in shock, as saying that she was abducted from western Herat province, bordering Iran.
Sadly such ‘marriages’ (they are really the acts of pedophiles) are quite common in Afghanistan (one of our ‘allies’)…
“In some regions because of insecurity and poverty the families marry off their daughters at a very early age to get rid of them,” Sima Samar, head of the Afghanistan Independent Human Rights Commission, said this month. Afghan civil law sets the legal age of marriage at 16 for girls, yet 15 percent of Afghan women under 50 were married before their 15th birthday and almost half were married before the age of 18, according to Save the Children. “So many children who are married off at a young age are deprived of their right to education, safety and the ability to make choices about their future,” the international charity said this month. “This is such a fundamental breach of a child’s basic rights.”
This is all nothing but religiously justified child molestation. And it is evil. If clerics condemned this lunacy instead of practicing it themselves maybe children could be kept safe.
Back on this day in 2013 we were discussing Bultmann and Jason Staples commented thusly on facebook-
And as if that weren’t appalling enough, he continued a bit later
Boy did he miss it. Those who discount Bultmann abandon sense. Don’t be like Jason. Don’t abandon sense.
When someone says Christians should stop imposing their beliefs on society.
What beliefs would those be? About marriage? About the sanctity of life? About premarital and extramarital sex? About greed? About truth?
If any beliefs are being imposed on society I can assure you, they aren’t Christian and they have nothing to do with nor do they stem from Christianity.
Their roots are not with us- they are with you- the Christless.
Because they are the problem. Them and simpering spineless theologians like Eric Metaxas and Jerry Falwell Jr. who are the precise reason America is the moral tar pit we know it to be at the moment.
If NT scholars, and theologians, and ‘historians’ were police dogs, this would be them:

Florida authorities say they charged a 12-year-old boy for smothering a 4-month-old baby after the boy told a school resource officer that he had killed his nephew.
West Palm Beach police released a probable cause affidavit Friday saying that the boy approached a Riviera Beach police officer at his school on Dec. 10 and told the officer that he placed a pillow over the baby’s face to prevent him from crying.
The report says the infant’s mother had left the baby and two other children in the 12-year-old boy’s care on Dec. 2. When she returned home, she found the baby wasn’t breathing and called 911.
The boy was arrested Wednesday and charged with manslaughter.
Parental neglect pure and simple. Children being responsible for children is parental irresponsibility. This is not the best of all possible worlds. The world would easily be better if parents had any sense at all.
