Zondervan have sent a new book (second edition new) for perusal titled ‘Four Views On Hell‘. These are 1) eternal conscious torment; 2) terminal punishment; 3) universalism; and 4) hell and purgatory.
Only one is right in terms of biblical revelation and three are wrong. All four can’t be right.
It looks like an interesting volume because each essay offers the premise of the author and then responses by the three people who are wrong. Once I’ve read through it I’ll let you know which three fail to be convincing for biblical and theological reasons. But I’ll give you a hint- I’m not a 2, 3 or 4-er. Although if I had to choose between 2, 3 or 4 it would definitely not be 2 or 3 (both of which falter on the rocks of scripture and theology).
But I’ll keep an open mind. Maybe Parry can convince me that I’m mistaken. Good luck, Robin! 😉
