Because clearly they and their advert department don’t…
Not only are they wrong- they are horribly wrong.
Today, we had the honor to host a senior delegation from the University of Leipzig, led by the Rector, Prof. Dr. Beate Schüking. The visit, part of a larger visit to Israel and to BIU in connection with the celebrations of 50 years of diplomatic relations between Israel and Germany, was focused in particular on the joint German/Israel Minerva Center for the Relations between Israel and Aram in Biblical Times (RIAB), which Prof. Angelika Berlejung (Leipzig) and I co-direct.
In the visit, we presented about the work at Tell es-Safi/Gath and of the Minerva Center.

I think he has it right on each point. I am in agreement. I wish our witless politicians would have the same good sense that Joel has.
Jeff Carter nails it in his limerick:
Was she immaculately conceived
as Catholics, of Mary, believe,
and if so, how far back
should this sinlessness track;
what womb could this perfection receive?
I do believe we slander Christ when we think we are to draw the people by something else but the preaching of Christ crucified. ~Spurgeon
Did he, he would know this statement of his is simply untrue. Christians ought to be honest people and this is dishonest. Islam no more requires martyrdom than Christianity does. Graham’s remark is unchristian, uncharitable, and unhelpful. It simply is aimed at stirring up the equally ill-informed and casting Islam in a bad light.
If your faith can’t stand on its own, perhaps you have questions about its reality yourself. If it can only exist if it’s ‘better’ then maybe you don’t really believe what it teaches.
Was the birthday of Mary Stuart… Her dissolute Father, King James II was not the happiest of dads…
Loose living is incompatible with domestic happiness. No symptom showed that his death was near. James, however, was always repeating the words, ‘Before such a day I shall be dead.’ His courtiers, astonished and afflicted, said to one another that if the queen gave him a son, the happiness so much desired would restore him; but on December 8, 1542, she gave birth to a girl—the celebrated Mary Stuart.
On learning that the newborn infant was a girl, James, wounded afresh in his dearest wish, turned to the wall, away from those who had brought him the sad tidings. ‘The devil go with it,’ he said; ‘it will end as it began: it came with a lass, and it will go with a lass.’ He saw his family extinct, his crown lost.*
