Conference Announcement: Luther and Calvinism – Image and Reception of Martin Luther in the History and Theology of Calvinism

Via Refo500

The Johannes a Lasco Bibliothek Emden invites you to the international RefoRC Conference “Luther and Calvinism – Image and Reception of Martin Luther in the History and Theology of Calvinism”, to be held September 22-25, 2015 in Emden.

Topic

The fundamental importance of the theology and life of Martin Luther for international Calvinism is well known, and yet research and publications on this influence are usually limited to the relationship between Calvin and Luther. In order to create better insight into the impact of Luther’s life and work on Calvinism in general, the John a Lasco Library, together with a number of Refo500-partners, have organized a major conference to analyze this impact.
