Lifeway’s VBS Material Fail

#Lifeway has been producing rubbish VBS stuff for a good while now.  This year’s, though, is the worst.  The theme… the lesson suggestions…. the material requirements…  a circus of absurdity.   #TimeToFindSomethingElseToUse

Two years ago the Church to which I belong put on an excellent VBS. The kids were singing 500 year old hymns, digging in pretend archaeology sites, and learning the differences between English translations of the Bible. Not every kid got what was going on, but the interested students were stretched, challenged, and taught something useful; not bludgeoned with slightly Christianized versions of their favorite cartoons from three years earlier.

Good for you! I am certain they enjoyed the digging on pretend archaeological sites! What a great idea! I am glad that they were singing 500 years old hymns since, everywhere in the “evanjellyfish” world (a.k.a as “christendumb”) it is believed that Christian kids are not smart enough for them… Thanks, I loved it!

I was just the labor. The woman that prepared it all is a true dynamo. She was working with some group to publish it. (I want to say ABR, but don’t quote me on that.)
