He claims that he only shot Trayvon Martin after Martin bashed his head repeatedly into the concrete. Poor George, you’d feel sorry for him if he had actually been attacked. But new video released by the police show that he didn’t have a scratch on him or a bit of blood.
If the police video of George Zimmerman being taken into questioning shows what it appears to show, if Zimmerman really was devoid of the injuries that had been so feverishly and eagerly recounted by his defenders, then we have on our hands an absolutely catastrophic failure on the part of the media, and one of the most dramatic, devastating examples in recent memory of the Internet’s power to decide “the facts” long before anyone has a clue what they are.
Hold on for a minute- the ‘internet’ didn’t ‘decide’ the ‘facts’ – some of Zimmerman’s supporters believed his lies without any proof. Blaming the ‘internet’ for the willingness of racists to believe facts not in evidence is like blaming the weatherman if it rains.
Zimmerman’s lies are unraveling. He should be arrested. Today.
