More Stupid Student Tricks: The Case of Sarah Grunfeld

Gawker reports

Cameron Johnston is a professor of social sciences at York University in Canada. He is Jewish. But the bad part is, he’s also a Nazi! Fire him at once! Wait… what did he say?  See, on Monday, on the first day of class, he was telling his students about acceptable and unacceptable opinions. And as an example of an unacceptable and dangerous opinion, The Toronto Star reports, he said “All Jews should be sterilized.”

Ok that seems reasonable.

Well! Twenty two year-old Sarah Grunfeld, a student with poor listening skills, was not about to stand for whatever it is he just said! She stormed out of class and informed a campus Jewish group that Professor Johnston was a rabid anti-Semite. Predictable outrages ensued! And Johnston has spent all week now explaining that he actually said the opposite of what Grunfeld thought he said. Sadly, Sarah Grunfeld is this kind of person:

Grunfeld said Tuesday she may have misunderstood the context and intent of Johnston’s remarks, but that fact is insignificant.  “The words, ‘Jews should be sterilized’ still came out of his mouth, so regardless of the context I still think that’s pretty serious.”  Grunfeld also expressed skepticism that Johnston was in fact Jewish.  Asked directly by a reporter whether she believes Johnston is lying, she was unclear.  “Whether he is or is not, no one will know,” she said. “. . . Maybe he thought because he is Jewish he can talk smack about other Jews.”

Sarah, if I may, your ignorance, poor listening skills, and dogmatic blindness to the facts ill suits you to be a student.  You should drop out immediately and seek employment at a roller skating rink where the music blares so loudly you need not hear anyone and no one need hear you.

she owes him an apology and with that time of attitude a place of learning isn’t for here. She should get a jump to conclusions mat for her birthday.

But . . . didn’t the words “Jews should be sterilized” just come out of her own mouth?

By your logic Sarah, you said it too, so regardless of context, you’re the anti-Semite.

Maybe because she’s hopelessly confused Sarah Grunfeld thinks she can talk smack about people who make sense.

Controversial opinions come and go. Natural stupidity lasts a lifetime.

Although the more likely scenario is, “I said what? Hmm, so I keep feigning outrage rather than admit I was wrong. That’ll give me a bright future in politics.”

Everybody has been in a class or a meeting where they dozed off for a moment and lost track of the presentation. This girl could have admitted this and gracefully apologized and everyone would have sympathized at the embarrassing situation she landed herself in. Instead she shows herself to have a total lack of character and we all just see her as a spoiled brat who would see an innocent person suffer rather than admit to a personal flaw. I see she is in her last year. Beware potential employers!

    Sarah Grunfeld, obviously too stupid and cowardly to;

    A. Confront the professor about his allegedly objectionable utterance at the time .

    B. Pay enough attention to know the context of the statement.

    C. Confirm her assumption before publicly defaming a professor. (ditto for the moron president of Hasbara at York)

    D. Realize that she just said ‘Jews should be sterilized’ as well, context and intent being insignificant. Sounds like hate speech to me, where do I complain?

Sarah, you are a fool. A shameless and unapologetic fool apparently.

Professor Johnston, you should sue all involved for the defamation of your character. Not for profit but simply to make others think twice before engaging in histrionics which damage the innocent.
