Well Chris Tilling, of course, who has been ‘moonlighting’ as a technician for Arizona Power and Lights (APL).
An unprecedented power outage spread across Southern California, parts of Arizona and into Mexico on Thursday, leaving as many as 5 million people in the dark. The outage began locally about 3:30p.m. and cut off power to customers of Imperial Irrigation District, San Diego Gas and Electric and Southern California Edison.
The international outage was triggered by an utility employee who was removing equipment at a substation near Yuma, according to APS, Arizona’s largest electricity utility. That set off a series of California events that shut down both generators at San Onofre Nuclear Power Station, said Mike Niggli, COO of San Diego Gas & Electric Co.
Chris, you’re a brilliant New Testament scholar but you’re a wretched electrician.
