    You need an evangelical pope to extract an act of penance. This is how Rome started…no one wanted to submit to elders or scripture or even any church discipline. Its a common dilemma when you have non-denominational churches or independent churches with charismatic leaders surrounded by loosely held leadership structures.

    On the other hand could Mark’s loose mouth have given ready ammunition to egalitarians who have just been bidding their time and waiting for a slight slip up from an accident prone complimentarian! 😉
