27,000 Dead and Missing

With Evangelical’s eyes firmly fixed on the heretic Rob Bell and his heretical book or the multiply married Hollywood pretender Liz Taylor many may have forgotten that Japan has just endured the worst disaster since WW2 (which says something about Evangelicals, doesn’t it…). Still, CNN reports

Japan’s National Police Agency says 9,811 people are confirmed dead, 17, 541 are missing as of 9 p.m. Thursday, according to an NHK report.

A dreadful tragedy far more worthy of concern than a heretic or an actress.

One Response to 27,000 Dead and Missing

  1. I was blessed to live in Japan for a few years, some years back. I loved the place and the people! The Allies only beat these people because of the A-bomb in WW2, and the American war production. But, I have to admit, they are far down the grid toward Christianity as a nation. A very secular and godless nation by Judeo-Christian standards. But we should still pray and perhaps now send even more missionaries to Japan!
