The good Bishop- who happens to be a FB friend – writes in connection with a BBC report about NT Wright-
He’s writing “the big book that [he’s] wanted to write for a long time”. Finally, a solid defence of the Historical Zombie Hypothesis! I can hardly wait.
The BBC report to which he refers is here. He’s (Wright, not Wrong) going to trade in that purple/pink shirt for some of those awesome golf pants too! And if you notice, he’s sitting in front of a lot of very old books. Maybe that’s why his ideas are dated? He needs some new ones!
The truth is never dated! You might check the Church Fathers Jim! They had some good stuff, even before Calvin. And I like the more real John Calvin myself. It is a humbling thing, this search for truth,.. Christ and our Triune God! The Scripture really is Holy, and not really a secular thing.

I am surprised you are even friends with this Wrong fellow Jim because you constantly go on about those who blog or post anonymously. I also think it is disappointing that people get so personal about Tom Wright. Disagree with him sure, but it is hardly Christian to attack him so vehemently and personally!
Just my 2 cents!

he’s not unknown to me- hence he’s not anonymous.

Tom Wright is an Open Evangelical. I am not sure many Americans get this meaning?

Okay Jim, so you are one of the chosen few. He is still anonymous to most which you say is wrong. I’m just surprised you promote him or her. It doesn’t really matter I just think the person shouldn’t hide behind their anonymity. If they had integrity they would say the things they say under their real name and not hide behind a veil of secrecy. It’s kind of pathetic and weak (in my opinion anyway).
It is easy to say anything when you can never be held accountable for it. Tom Wright is a brother in Christ and Wrong attacks him personally. THAT IS WRONG! His views might be wrong (in your’s and other’s opinion) but no one deserves such personal attacks…other than Joel of course! ;). Why doesn’t the person just come out and argue with Wright on equal terms?
That would be 4cents now! 😉
