A Pretty Cool Theoblog

It’s not new but it’s newish (at least to me).  I enjoy it- and I think you probably will too.  Marc Cortez runs it- and he’s the director of the ThM program at Western Seminary.

Sure, he spells his name strangely… but that’s French for you!

Check it out, though.  Worth it (and also worth adding to the blogroll- which I’ve done).

I’m sure Cortez is Spanish, Jim. A variant is Cortes (Portuguese).

Ah! I don’t know, I was talking about the last name. Maybe His name is Marcos and the (idiosincratic)anglicized form is Marc. 😉

Actually, I’m a rather confusing blend of cajun (my dad’s from Louisiana), Scandinavian (mom’s parents are from Sweden and Norway), and who knows what else. We have no idea where the Hispanic surname came from, and I think the French spelling of my first name was just because my parents wanted to spell it differently (the curse we bestow on our kids because we think they actually want to have a name that is different from everyone else’s).

But, thanks for mentioning the blog. We’re having a good time over there, and I’ve enjoyed interacting with your posts as well.
