Our Worthless Congress Is Happy to Fund War, Not So Much The Well Being of Brown Children

I’m sick to death of this worthless Congress, always willing, as it is, to pay for the instruments of war but with little interest in life.  On the one hand-

The Senate Appropriations Committee will hold a hearing Thursday on President Obama’s request for emergency funds to deal with the flood of migrant children at the U.S. border.  The president is expected this week to make a detailed request to Congress for more than $2 billion to respond to the surge in unaccompanied children and other migrants from Central America.

Which the House will not approve (and has already said it won’t).

Sen. Lindsay Graham (R-S.C.) was among several Republican and Democratic lawmakers on Sunday to say that young children crossing the border must be sent back to their home countries to dissuade others from attempting the trip.  Rep. Raúl Labrador (R-Idaho) argued Sunday that anyone crossing the southern border should be immediately deported.   Democratic Rep. Henry Cuellar, who represents a border district in Texas, said Sunday that the administration failed to anticipate a predictable crisis and remains “one step behind” in addressing it.

Our Congress isn’t fond of little brown children- either south of us or in the Middle East.  Because, while the Senate isn’t interested in allowing little kids and their moms into the country, it also isn’t interested in protecting little brown Palestinian children but more than happy to protect Israelis.

A United States congressional committee on Tuesday approved a spending bill that would double the funding for Israel’s Iron Dome anti-missile system, Fox News reported.  The defense spending bill approved by the Senate Appropriations defense subcommittee would provide $621.6 million for Israeli missile defense, including $351 million for the Iron Dome system.  The bill still has to be approved by the full Senate.  The allocation for Israel is only a small part of the full bill, which would provide the U.S. armed forces with $549.3 billion for the fiscal year beginning October 1.

Our Congress makes me sick.  And so does everyone who insists on putting these vile miscreant worshipers of war and lovers of death for all but white skinned folk back into power election after election.

Our useless and completely wicked racist government can pay for weapons without even blinking but when it comes to helping kids, they just can’t manage it.

Sickening.

    you contrast “white skinned folk” of Congress and “little brown children” of Central and South America. You might want to be careful here as at least one of the “white skinned folk” of Congress you write about is actually “brown” according to your racial descriptions.

    You sound a bit like the moron in Congress who stated all the males in the Supreme Court are white

    • everyone knows that congress has a number of ethnicities besides Caucasians. and my point stands. the vast majority in congress are white and, more importantly, their treatment (regardless of their race) of the Israelis is QUITE different than their treatment of south americans AND palestinians.

      a point you deftly ignored in favor of instead focusing on the handful of congress folk who aren’t white.
