Take this treasure-
Mike Glenn - Any church not focusing on young adults is planning its own funeral.
Now that’s a piece of inaccurate theology if ever there was one, for the truth is; if any church focuses on anything, anyone, any particular segment of society it tends to exclude all the rest. Or minimize them. But worst of all, any church that focuses on anything but Christ is actually the one planning its own funeral.
Churches which are not theocentric have ceased to be churches in a meaningful way. They have already died. Their funerals are merely impending if unannounced.
Sadly too many churches are led by CEO’s and ‘Executive Pastors’ and businessmen instead of by theologians and biblical scholars. Such churches are failures, whatever ‘successes’ they may trumpet and they have authentically fulfilled this scriptural warning:
For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires… (2 Tim 4:3).
Churches led by ‘executives’ are made up of ‘Christians’ who will not put up with sound doctrine and who want to be entertained. America is filled with such abominations.
