It’s just simply too time consuming every time the computer starts and updates. So it’s back to flashdrives for me.

Give Google Drive a look. It is what I use now instead of Dropbox.

Interesting, I use both Dropbox (extensively, I have a lot of active data there) and Gdrive (less) and find DB seems to need less resources to keep up to date. Are you putting a lot of pictures or something there while you are offline?
