Bullied by the Christian Zionists and the Jewish lobby, the Democrats have knuckled under and reinserted reference to Jerusalem as the Capital of Israel (even though it isn’t, and until the Palestinian question is settled, it won’t be).
We expected the Republicans to cow-tow to the Zionists but the Dems too? The party of marriage equality? The party of freedom and liberty? I guess all those ideals apply to everyone but the Palestinians, so the Dems just dissed them and have ensured that the peace process is once more made a mockery.
These Dems… they’re moral cowards (except when it comes to standing up for the rights of gays to wed- then they’re all action).
On behalf of all decent Americans, Palestinian people, I apologize for the cowardice of our politicians and their toadies.
Why does this show a date of 05/09/2012?
As to the Dems caving…well…the only difference b/t the two parties is rhetoric. When it comes to policy, the Zionists/corporates/banksters control it all, D or R. Sad, but true.
well it doesnt. it shows year/month/day. you have day/month/year. which is wrong.
Is there any doubt that even if the Israelis and Palestinians eventually negotiate a Peace Agreement and East Jerusalem, or parts thereof, will be ceded to the Palestinians, West Jerusalem will remain in Israeli hands and continue to be the Capital of Israel? Should such an Agreement come to fruition, I predict that the Israelis will call their Capital Jerusalem, Israel and the Palestinians will call their Capital Jerusalem, Palestine.
and until that peace is achieved it’s immoral to call jerusalem the capital of anything
