I like the CEB; I just bought a Kindle version of the CEBA, which I’d rather have in eSword; but…
When I read a seminary professor saying his students are befuddled by what I presume is the NRSV, I weep for future pulpits.
And you wonder why seminaries don’t push the original languages anymore….
Great interview – thanks. I smiled when I saw the part about future revisions to the CEB – I found a typo (an extra word) in one chapter that I was reading in Tobit. As an editor, I can understand how mistakes can slip past multiple proofreaders, but it’s still the first time I’ve seen a typo in a Bible.
i thought the same thing. what??? seminary students, presumably college grads, cant get the nrsv???? i was pretty surprised.
