This week, Barnea and Dovid get the inside scoop on the upcoming ASOR (American Society for Oriental Research) convention. This year it will be held in San Francisco, and since we’re not travelling there ourselves, we’re offering a special treat. We welcome to the show archaeologist Professor Tim Harrison (University of Toronto) – he’s the president of ASOR, and provides us with the quintessential insider’s look at the biggest biblical-archaeology fest on the planet. Next up is Yisrael “Winky” Medad. He sheds some light on the current situation in Shilo – the archaeology, politics, and history of one of the most significant sites in Israel. It was home to the “mishkan” for 369 years and has been central throughout Jewish history. In our final hour, we offer a reprise of our 2010 interview with Israel Finkelstein - he was one of the first to dig in Shilo, and has basked in his role of nay-sayer to some of the top names in archaeology today.
