I’ve decided to toss in the towel and jump on the bandwagon of those bloggers who have dropped the solo act and joined a group. While solo blogs have the strength of a singular voice and can avoid the multi-babble of the mob, there is also something to be said for not having to bear the burden alone.
The people at Near Emmaus are excited to have me for a number of reasons: first, I bring along my millions of faithful readers (something which they sadly don’t have). Second, I bring along my singular wit. Something, again, that they sorely lack (even as a group they can’t seem to manage being all that witty). And third, I bring along regular references to Zwingli. Since none of them have ever read Zwingli (or the Bible, apparently, or a shred of Church History or any theology beyond Barth and Wright) it should help to broaden out the perspectives of their sorely undereducated readers.
So, Near Emmaus, here I come, ready or not…
[NB- please note today's date- it's important...]

It’s 3:28pm here…your too late
You did have me going there…nearly!
Oh, I thought it was going to be a pony for the church kids to ride on Sunday.
PS. Can I have this blog?
April Fool’s!
God. Help. Us.

I was nervous that you were joining without my knowledge. I was about to go solo with a blog titled ‘Wrightian Redivivus’.
