Jesus’ ‘Crown of Thorns’ Is on Display…

You know you want to go see it, don’t you…

It was plundered in the Fourth Crusade, sold to French royalty and has spent the past 200 years in safekeeping at a British public school.  Now a relic claimed to be a thorn from Jesus’s crown is to go on display at the British Museum.  And while no one can doubt the item’s rich history, there is less evidence to support the claims of its provenance.

Wait, it’s not the actual crown of thorns, it’s A thorn????  What a ripoff!

I’m afraid I don’t believe it.  Sorry for my skepticism, but, please…  We all know that the crown is complete and intact and housed in the secret relic room of the Vatican right next to Paul’s skull, the sword that pierced the side of Jesus, the bones of Jesus’ mother and brothers, and the platter John the Baptist’s head rested on (which is still splattered with his blood- they did DNA testing and proved it!).

Go to the British Museum, it’s brilliant.  But don’t waste your time looking at such relic nonsense.  The Medieval Art collection is far superior and actually interesting.

  1. ahh but you forgot those 3-4 foreskins in EU from what happened on Jan. 1st…

  2. Come on Jim let them fools come to Britain and drop money in our coffers to see what ever they believe they will be seeing. Yeah the fore skins of the philistines and even the original fruit bitten by Adam and Eve. Lol

  3. Any word yet on the project to build a replica Noah’s Ark out of pieces of the True Cross in circulation?

I hear the sales of leftover pieces could pay off the US national debt.

I guess the Gospel of Peter was right and the Cross really did reach to the sky….
