This email just arrived. It is indeed very sad news for those of us who have known Larry collegially over the years in the CBA.
This morning at 7:10 AM Fr. Larry Boadt, C.S.P. went home to the Heavenly Father. During his last days at the Paulist Press priests’ residence in Mahwah, he received fine hospice care and palliative treatment to alleviate his pain and suffering in his ongoing struggle with terminal cancer.
The following funeral arrangements have been made: Wake/Viewing: Tuesday July 27th 2:00-5:00 PM; 7:00-9:00 PM. Church of St. Paul the Apostle, West 59th Street and 9th Avenue, New York City. Mass of Resurrection: Church of St. Paul the Apostle, West 59th Street and 9th Avenue, New York City, Wednesday July 28th 10:00 AM followed by burial in the Paulist section in the cemetery of St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Oak Ridge, NJ.
+ Rev. Lawrence Edward Boadt, C.S.P.
Born: October 26, 1942
First Promises: September 8, 1963
Ordination: February 22, 1969
Born into Eternal Life: July 24, 2010“As for me, I am already being poured out as a libation, and the time of my departure has come. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. From now on there is reserved for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will give me on that day, and not only to me but also to all who have longed for his appearing” 2 Timothy 4:6-8. Given Fr. Larry Boadt’s many years of teaching and close association in the Washington, D.C. area, future plans will be made for a memorial Mass to be celebrated sometime in September in Washington. May our friend Larry rest in God’s peace.
Rev. Michael Kerrigan, C.S.P.
Doubtless more will be said at the meeting which commences one week from today in Los Angeles. May he rest in peace eternal.

Very sad news indeed. Thank you for the post.
