Fixed Term 3-year Departmental Lecturership in Old Testament Studies
Grade Eight: £36,715
The Faculty of Theology wishes to appoint a Departmental Lecturer in Old Testament Studies for a fixed-term of 3 years, commencing 1 October 2010. It is anticipated that there will be an association with a college or permanent private hall.
The successful candidate will be expected to teach in the areas of Old Testament offered in the Final Honour School of Theology and to manage their own research projects in the field of Old Testament studies, sourcing research income and contributing to grant applications as appropriate. S/he will also be required to contribute to the work of appropriate Faculty committees and to the development of academic strategies and policies.
The successful candidate will hold a doctorate, have an appropriate standard of research record for their career and be willing to undertake University administration duties.
